Mission Bay Catch of the Day :::
Featuring Wild West Seafood!

This page featuring Wild West Seafood is in its larval stage. We are currently working on improved photography and written content that will better illustrate and describe these local, sustainably caught seafood products (in addition to suggesting seafood recipes invented and recommended by San Diegan fishermen). Please also visit the Wild West Seafood Calendar!

Coastal Rockfish
 Market Classification

Wild West prides in providing coastal rockfish at Tuna Harbor Dockside Market and other local seafood venues around San Diego. These bottom fish are caught hook-and-line at 300-feet depths in federal waters off the San Diego coast. Rockfish are white and firm-yet-flaky, and the distinctly pleasant, mild taste ensures its culinary versatility--from baking to steaming to grilling, you can pair this fish with all kinds of flavors and sides!
